MORE ABOUT US "Mad About Pictures" is a Los Angeles-based media company dedicated to producing character and message-driven independent cinema. The first film under our banner, Conversations With Lucifer, offers an intimate though offbeat portrayal of one, young woman's struggle to overcome her drug addiction. Presented with all of the quirky nuances true of real life, this dramedy displays a sort of manic charm, making it distinctive and unique. Conversations With Lucifer is a complete film and now playing the festival circuit. It's journey has just begun, and we are excited to see what the future holds for this very special film. For those of you who missed our premiere and our theatrical viewing at The Egyptian Theatre in June, you can see the film when it screens on October 30th as an official selection of the Reel Recovery Film Festival in Hollywood, CA. At the same time, we are beginning pre-production for our next film The Mourning Hour, which is slated for a February, 2011 shoot. As a script, The Mourning Hour has ALREADY received acclaim. It was named a FINALIST for The Roy W. Dean Film Grant Scholarship, and was just announced as the sole WINNER of the Slugline Short Screenplay Competition. We are more than encouraged by this early success and consider it to be good tidings of things to come... |
